The ECS Tuning Air to Air Intercooler Kit was designed and engineered in-house to provide you with a direct bolt-on system to improve consistency in engine performance, decrease intake air temperature, increase resistance to heat soak, and drastically lower intake air temps!; We designed the air to air cooling system to directly mate with the existing OEM piping resulting in an OEM fit but with a custom fabricated appearance.; The turbos located on top of the engine create extreme amounts of heat especially once you upgrade them to larger units.; Instead of hot coolant being circulated though the air to water cooler in the engine bay you get a front mounted intercooler, FMIC, that is constantly getting cooled by air flow though the grill and is completely isolated from the engine compartment making it more resistant to heat soak.; This Air To Air kit is a culmination of almost 3 years of research and development, multiple rounds of prototypes and revisions, rigorous real world testing, and verified the performance gains on our in-house chassis dyno.; The end result of all of this effort is a charge air cooler that combines unrivaled beauty, fitment, quality and performance in one stunning package that will make a statement on your C7 / C7.5 S6.; Design: 280 in^2 frontal intercooler area compared to the stock ~50 in^2 3.5” thick bar and plate core 900 in^3 core volume Single-pass intercooler Large volume cast end tanks to slow charge air velocity down Aluminum sheet metal fan shroud to maximize space between the front of the motor and fans Upper and lower polyurethane radiator mounts to drop the heat exchanger assembly Retains all emissions and PCV related components Utilizes factory mounting locations and 4 rivet nuts in the crash beam ; **IAT graph data collected through DS1 datalogs Not for sale or use in the state of California on any pollution-controlled vehicle as per the California Air Resources Board.; Audi
